‘Spring is the time of plans and projects’ Leo Tolstoy
I love this quote from Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. To me, spring is the time to finally say goodbye to sleepy winter and move out of hibernation mode. As the weather warms up and flowers begin to poke their heads out of the ground, I always feel more energised and ready to take on the world. It’s like a fresh start.
A spring clean for your head
Some people like to spring clean their home and get rid of all the junk and clutter that’s getting in their way. I like to do the same with my head. I want to create space in my mind to think about new plans, new projects and new possibilities. Maybe you’re having negative thoughts about all the things you should’ve done or achieved in your business last year. Well spring is the time to let go of those negative thoughts and focus on all the fantastic things you’re going to do in 2016!
I always tune into the energy that spring brings with it to create a new action plan for myself. And I help clients to do the same. My regular ‘Business in Balance’ half-day workshops are all about recharging your batteries and ramping up your motivation. During the interactive group session there are lots of tips and techniques on managing stress, which if left unchecked can really sap your energy. And I help people tackle that all-important issue of creating a work/life balance, too (and, yes, it IS possible when you know how!).
I suppose you could say I help people put a spring back in their step!
