COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL HYPNOTHERAPY

Unlock your subconscious with Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is a powerful integrated therapy that combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnotherapy. It works on the conscious and subconscious parts of the brain, allowing you to take in positive suggestions at a deep, unconscious level. This helps you to make changes to thoughts, feelings and behaviours that have become habitual but which you have decided on a conscious level to change. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is evidence-based and can bring about long-lasting changes to the way you think, feel and behave.

Our subconscious is where we store all our learned skills, habits and behaviours but it doesn’t distinguish between the ones that are beneficial to us and the ones that have a negative impact. Very often, these habitual reactions will have been created by the time we’re 9 years old, in response to an event or situation we’re in and in order to help us feel safe/loved/secure. Whilst these may have been helpful at that time, we often find that as we grow into an adult, the thoughts and feelings that were appropriate as a 9 year old are no longer so. In fact, they may now be preventing us from achieving success in a number of areas of our lives, such as career, finances, health and relationships.

Whilst you’re under hypnosis and experiencing a deep state of relaxation, I’ll give you positive suggestions, which we have agreed together during the session, that the subconscious part of your mind can focus on and absorb, leading to the changes that you desire. Depending on your individual requirements, it may be that you’re provided with exercises or self-hypnosis audio files to re-inforce the transformation process…after all, habits that have developed over a number of years probably won’t be changed overnight!

What can CBH help with?

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) works by firstly bringing our awareness to our automatic thoughts, emotions and behaviours, including physiological responses in the body and the physical actions we take.   It then enables us to change those that we deem as being unhelpful or actual obstacles to us achieving what we desire in our personal or professional lives.

Below are the areas I specialise in for helping people make transformations through CBH:

  • Overcoming fears that are holding you back
  • Improve confidence & self-esteem
  • Performance management, e.g. public speaking, interviews, fitness
  • Weight loss/management
  • Stress management

If you’d like to have a chat about how CBH could help you in any of these areas, please get in touch for a FREE 30-minute phone/Skype consultation – imagine how it would feel being free of these limitations!
